I am a fifth year postdoc in experimental/observational Astrophysics. I am one of the founders of the La Silla-QUEST Variability Survey (LSQ) and PI for a Science Group studying Blue Transients as part of the Public ESO Spectroscopic Survey of Transient Objects (PESSTO).

My research interests include:

  • Time-domain astrophysics: peculiar transients, tidal disruption events, supernovae
  • Wide variability surveys and the search for new classes of transient phenomenon
  • The Galactic Center

I earned my Ph.D. in Astrophysics at UC Santa Barbara, where my research advisor was Prof.
Philip Lubin. My undergraduate years were spent at Mount Holyoke College/Amherst College
and UCSB.
